April 20th - ERDDIG Training Weekend
Always a good weekend to start the season off, amazing grounds owned by the National Trust
May 11th – Home Farm – Backford
A new event for CHDTG, watch out for updates.
Directions to this event as follows:
Postcode CH2 4DG
On the A41 (from Chester). Ignore the sign post for Backford / Hospice and continue to the traffic lights. Turn Right posted for Ellesmere Port (A5032) and take the first right (after about half a mile) onto Gordon lane. Follow signs for CHDTG (livery yard will be on your left)
From the M53, Junction 10 posted for Queensferry A5117 / Blue Planet Aquarium. Bear left onto A5117 across roundabout and continue until you get to another roundabout. Posted left for Chester / Zoo (A5032 Whitby Lane). You will go over the moterway and then take next left onto Gordon lane (see above).
If coming from North Wales / A55 direction:
Take the A494 (Queensferry by-pass) continue on A494 posted Manchester, take exit A41 Whitchurch / Zoo. At roundabout take exit for A41 Whitchurch / Zoo. Left at traffic lights and then first right onto Gordon Lane.
Entrance to the lorry park is through the livery yard and there is very little / no grazing on the lorry park, so bring plenty of hay. There should be grazing available (by lead rope) if you wish to do so.
We have suggested coming this direction as it is easier to turn into the yard. If you are coming by car or small trailer, you can take the Backford turning and the livery yard is just past the Hospice of the Good Shepherd).

Welcome back to this National standard event. Great news that despite the loss of the Welsh National, CHDTG have secured this venue as a club event for 2013.
June 29th – Llanymynech
Yet again this event will be run as a National Novice Qualifier, get youe entries in early for this event.
July_13th – MOSTYN FARM RIDE
An event that is now in it’s 3rd year and gets better each year.
August_24th HENBURY HALL
Make sure you are at the last event of the year. As usual we will be holding our end of season presentation and party.
