If anyone is interested in representing the North West area at the Indoor Championships “Speed Competition”, please let Carole know.
Qualification criteria will be the three fasted combined obstacle times from this seasons events (so total time for all four obstacles from any three of the events either from Adlington or Northop). We have all the times, so will calculate who qualifies after the last event at Northop in March. You will of course need to qualify for the Championships to be able to represent our area.
If you are not aware, this event takes place on one of the evenings (think it is the Saturday) and is a knock out competion consisting of cones and obstacles against the clock. It may mean driving the course 2-3 times and is in front of a very lively crowd and with music.

18th October
Attached (foot of page) are the Times for Dressage on Saturday and also the Duty Rota. It’s not the easiest thing in the world doing the Duty Rota to suit everyone and as this is my first attempt, please bear with me!! If you really can’t get to do your allotted time, please either find a substitute or contact a Committee Member as soon as you know so they can find a substitute for you. It really does make the whole day run so much smoother when we have these Rotas up. I know it can be a pain when you’d really rather go and have a brew and watch some Driving but if we don’t all chip in a bit- the same old people end up doing it and when they get fed up- there’ll be no more competitions!! We have a really good turnout as you can see and we have had to make another Rule for Safety’s sake;
PLEASE NOTE- ONLY 3 TURNOUTS AT A TIME WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE COLLECTING ARENA OUTSIDE- IE- THE NEXT 3 TO GO. THERE WILL BE NO LUNGEING ALLOWED.
Please be on the yard outside the doors ready to go in a couple of minutes before your time and when parking wagons and trailers, please leave plenty of space near the doors for turnouts to circle.
We have quite a few new faces this season which is always good! A very warm welcome to you all- we’re a very friendly bunch and if you need any help please ask- there will always be someone willing to help.
Looking forward to seeing you all on Saturday and Good Luck and Safe Driving to you all!! Let’s hope the weather is kind!!
Carole.
5th October
NorthernPlan have kindly offered a prize for “best obstacle Score” for the first event at Adlington (22nd Oct). This will be calculated by finding the average score over the 4 obstacles for each class and the Turnout that gets the highest above average score over the whole competition will win.
Get those entries in and start times will be posted in the week leading up to the event
20th September
Entry form for the upcoming Indoor events is now available on the documents page

Please note if you are new to this type of driving, you will need to be assesed prior to participating at an indoor event. If you wish to arrange for an assesment, please send an email using the contacts page on this site and we will make the appropriate arrangements
16th September.
To clarify, if you are driving indoor events and not an IHDT member, you will need to be a member of CHDTG. Current club members are covered until the end of December and if you join now, we will honour the club membership to end of 2012 (so you get up to 15 months membership).
Full rules on indoor driving can be found on the IHDT site (see link below), as can the dressage test for the winter season.
For those hoping to make it to the Championships at Keysoe, you will have to be IHDT members and if interested in entering the Sat night speed round at Keysoe, we will soon be announcing details on how you can try and qualify to represent the North West area.
Confirmed winter dates are:
